This is your Yin Yoga at the wall class. This all lying-down yin yoga class is going to help you slow down while using a prop we all have in our homes – a wall. Now if you don’t have any available wall space, you can always use the back of the couch for today’s practice.
If you’re new to this style of yoga, I want you to think of a slower practice, with longer holds and a more active stretch. We use a lot of props in yin yoga, just like in restorative, but the difference is the active stretch versus restorative yoga which is longer and more passive holds.
While the only prop you need for this all lying-down yin yoga class is the wall, you are welcome to grab any other props that may support you, like a blanket or two to soften the space beneath you.
