Most of our days are spent running from one thing to the next; one meeting to the next; one errand to the next; one baseball game and ballet rehearsal; the list could go on. Oftentimes, I feel like the only moments I get to be still all day are while I’m sitting in meditation. For me, this means I find my meditation practice to be even more necessary and special. In fact, today’s Meditation for Stillness was written to recreate a moment that I felt in my own meditation practice. It was a feeling of stillness that wasn’t just quiet and comforting, but where it felt like I could feel all of the movement happening around me despite sitting with my eyes closed and being completely still. It was a powerful feeling and one that I am so happy to be sharing with you.
