Yoga Therapy for Nervous System Support & Whole-Person Healing

Quiet the noise through the power of yoga therapy to support your physical, mental, and emotional well-being together

Is Yoga Therapy For You?

You might be here because…

  • You feel depressed, anxious, or disconnected from your body
  • You’re living with chronic stress, illness, or hormonal changes
  • You’re grieving or navigating a life transition
  • You’ve tried other approaches and want something more embodied
  • You want support that honors your whole self and can work alongside more traditional approaches

What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga therapy is a client-centered and individualized approach to healing that uses yoga practices like movement, breath, and meditation to work on mental and physical health conditions.

Yoga therapy complements more traditional forms of medical and mental health care and focuses on regulation, resilience, and self-awareness.

How Can Yoga Therapy Help You?

What Yoga Therapy Sessions Are Like

The Initial Session

The initial session will begin with a comprehensive intake conversation to help me gain a clear understanding of you and your situation, as well as how I believe yoga therapy may be able to support you. Please plan for 60-90 minutes for the initial yoga therapy intake session.

On-Going Sessions

Ongoing sessions begin with a conversation to understand how you’re feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally, as well as how any practices have been going at home. From there, I may guide you through a personalized practice that could include any of the following:

  • Gentle, mindful movement
  • Breathwork and relaxation techniques
  • Meditation or guided imagery
  • A customized home practice

Practices are tailored to you and adjusted as needed to fit your needs. Plan for 45-60 minutes for these ongoing yoga therapy sessions, unless otherwise discussed.

All yoga therapy sessions are:
  • 1:1 private sessions (virtual or in person)
  • Personalized practices (movement, breath, meditation, journaling, etc)
  • Trauma-informed, client-centered support
  • Accessible for all bodies and abilities
  • Requires no prior yoga experience

Meet Katie Arnold, Your Yoga Therapist

Hi, I am Katie Arnold. I am a yoga therapist and 500-hour yoga teacher who uses the practices of yoga, including movement, meditation, and breathwork, to help clients with mental and physical conditions.

I’ve been practicing and teaching yoga and meditation for many years, and have witnessed and personally experienced the impact that our daily practices can have on our lives, health, and mentality. Yoga therapy allows us to take the work a step further, creating an individualized therapeutic approach to these practices.

One of the beautiful aspects of yoga therapy is that it can be an excellent complement to other forms of treatment, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, or mental health services.

I look forward to learning more about you and understanding how I can best support your healing journey.

What Makes Yoga Therapy Different?

  • Trauma-informed and consent-based
  • Nervous-system–focused
  • Integrative and collaborative
  • Rooted in yoga therapy, not fitness yoga
  • Client-led and adaptive
